Wayne White repurposes old paintings, landscapes mostly, by painstakingly painting 3D letters on the canvas, so that they blend into the original paintings. He writes words and phrases that are intentionally sarcastic and satirical, that all have the same style and voice, see his website.
I want to get better at portraits and I dig Platon Antoniou's portrait style
My rules therefore, for this project will be:
1. I will shoot / find photos that are of subjects head/shoulders, with faces at least 50% of the frame.
2. I will only shoot on a tight lens, 50 MM or so.
3. I will ask subjects to relax, no 'posing' for the photo.
4. I will only shoot photos with subjects' permission.
5. I will shoot at least 20 images / find 30 images.
